    1.  Letters (अक्षर)

Letter : Letter वह सबसे छोटी इकाई है जिसका प्रयोग कर हम कोई अंग्रेजी शब्द लिखते हैं।

            A letter is the smallest unit with the help of which we write an English word
            
            अंग्रेजी में 26 letters है ।इन्हें हम दो प्रकार से लिखते हैं-

        1. Capital Letter        2. Small Letters
  Ex-     A B C D............Z.            a b c d...............z

2. Vowels and Consonants (स्वर और व्यंजन)

   

 1. Vowels : a, e, i, o और u को Vowels कहा जाता है।

         A, e, i, o and u are called vowels.

 2. Consonant : a, e, i, o और u के अलावा बाकी letters को consonant कहा जाता है।

        All letters accept a, e, i, o and u are called consonants.

  

 3. Semivowels : w और y को semivowels कहां जाता है। यह जब शब्द के शुरू में आते हैं तब consonant कहलाते हैं ।जब यह शब्द के शुरू में नहीं रहते तब vowels कहलाते हैं।

  

      W and y are called semi vowels. When they are in the beginning of a word, they are called consonants. When they are not in the beginning of a word, they are called vowels.
