Tissues, What is Organisation?

 WHAT IS ORGANISATION ?

A living organism can be compared to a machine. Just as a machine has different parts to perform different jobs, living organisms also have different body parts which work in an 'organised and coordinated fashion. Therefore, organisation is the manner in which smaller units of any structure or system are arranged into larger units in an hierarchical fashion.

Q. What is the purpose of organisation in living organisms?

Ans. Organisation is beneficial to multicellular organisms. Its purpose in multicellular organisms is the division of labour. This helps them carry out different functions more efficiently and in a coordinated fashion.

We can see such an organisation in the whole living world at different levels from cell to organism and from organisms to biosphere.
