The Merchant of Venice Act I Scene II in Hindi

Scene II of Act I starts with the discussion between Portia and Nerissa. Portia tells that

she does not find pleasure in this materialistic world. Nerissa says that Portia feels sick of this world because she is a wealthy lady. Portia tells that she is sad because she has got no liberty to choose her husband. At this Nerissa says that her father was a virtuous man. And the idea of choosing the three caskets made respectively of gold; lead and silver, will be the best test of Portia's suitors. Nerissa wants to know Portia's views about those suitors whom she has already met. Nerissa thinks that Bassanio is the most eligible young bachelor and deserves the hand of a beautiful lady.

हिन्दी अनुवाद - प्रथम अंक का द्वितीय दृश्य पोशिया और नैरिसा के मध्य वार्तालाप से प्रारम्भ होता है। पोशिया बताती है कि वह इस भौतिक संसार से खुश नहीं है। नैरिसा कहती है कि वह एक धनाढ्य महिला होने के कारण इस संसार से दुःखी है। पोशिया बताती है कि वह इसलिए दुःखी है क्योंकि उसे अपना पति चुनने की स्वतन्त्रता नहीं है। इस पर नैरिसा कहती है कि उसके पिता एक गुणी व्यक्ति थे और सोने, चांदी और रांगे के डिब्बों में से एक को चुनना पोशिया के पति चुनने को सर्वोत्तम परीक्षा होगी। नैरिसा पोशिया के विचार उन लोगों के बारे में जानना चाहती है जो उससे विवाह के इच्छुक है तथा जिनसे वह पहले मिल चुकी है। नैरिसा सोचती है कि वैसेनियो एक योग्य नवयुवक है।
