PERSONS IN THE POEM 

Suddhodana : King of Kapilvastu, the father of Siddhartha, was very wise and loving father. He tried to keep Siddhartha busy in pleasures of the world and put a strike check upon his movements so that he might not see  the pain in the world.

Prince Siddhartha : Son of Suddhodana. When he saw the pain in the
world, he renounced the world. He wanted to help men. After long penance he received light of knowledge and was known as Buddha.

Yashodhara : Siddhartha's wife. She was very beautiful, humble and faithful.

Chitra : Their maid. She narrated a wonderful tale that moved the Prince.

Channa : Siddhartha's charioteer, companion and adviser. He told the Prince everything that he wanted to know.

A Hermit : He told the King what his dream meant.

कविता में पात्र 

सुदोधन: सिद्धार्थ के पिता, कपिलवस्तु के राजा एक बहुत ही बुद्धिमान और प्यार करने वाले पिता थे। उन्होंने सिद्धार्थ को दुनिया की खुशी में व्यस्त रखने की कोशिश की और उनकी हरकतों पर हमला किया, ताकि उन्हें दुनिया में दर्द महसूस न हो।

राजकुमार सिद्धार्थ: सुधोधन का पुत्र। जब उन्होंने दुनिया में दर्द देखा, तो उन्होंने दुनिया छोड़ दी। वह पुरुषों की मदद करना चाहती थी। लंबी तपस्या के बाद उन्होंने ज्ञान का प्रकाश प्राप्त किया और बुद्ध के नाम से जाने गए।

यशोधरा: सिद्धार्थ की पत्नी। वह बहुत सुंदर, विनम्र और वफादार थी।

चित्रा: उसकी नौकरानी। उसने एक अद्भुत कहानी सुनाई जो राजकुमार को ले गई।

चन्ना: सिद्धार्थ के सारथी, साथी और संरक्षक। उसने राजकुमार को वह सब कुछ बताया जो वह जानना चाहता था।

एक साघु : उसने राजा को बताया कि उसके सपने का क्या मतलब है।
