15 August
Honorable/Respected Principal, teachers guardians and my all dear friends I am .......................the student of class................,welcome you all on the special occasion of independence day. Today, I am very happy because today is Independence Day. So, I am going to deliver a speech on 15 August.

15 August is a great day. We became free on this day in 1947. India was ruled by the Englishmen. They ruled us for a long time. We wanted to be free. So, we started a struggle. Many Indians were killed, many were put into jail, many were Wounded(घायल हुए) but we did not give up hope. Gandhi, Nehru, Subhash, Rajendra Jayprakash and others took part in the struggle. At last, the Englishmen left India. Our country became independent on 15th August 1947. So, it is the day of great importance for us. We celebrate this independence Day with a great joy.
Thanks.
