Education

Education is an effort of the signal people to transfer their knowledge to the younger members of society. It is thus an institution, which plays a vital role in integrating an individual with his society and maintaining the perpetuation of culture. Emile Durkheim defines education as "the enfluence exercised by the adult generation upon those who are not yet ready for adult life".
He further maintains that "society can survive only if there exists among its members a sufficient degree of homogeneity. The homogeneity is perpetuated and reingorced by education. A child through education learns basic rules, regulations, norms and values of society".

शिक्षा

शिक्षा समाज के युवा सदस्यों के लिए अपने ज्ञान को स्थानांतरित करने के लिए सिग्नल लोगों का एक प्रयास है। यह इस प्रकार एक संस्था है, जो अपने समाज के साथ एक व्यक्ति को एकीकृत करने और संस्कृति की निरंतरता को बनाए रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। एमिल दुर्खीम ने शिक्षा को "वयस्क पीढ़ी द्वारा वयस्क जीवन के लिए अभी तक तैयार नहीं होने वाले लोगों द्वारा अभ्यास" के रूप में परिभाषित किया है।

वह आगे कहते हैं कि "समाज तभी जीवित रह सकता है जब उसके सदस्यों में समरूपता की पर्याप्त डिग्री मौजूद हो। समरूपता को शिक्षा के आधार पर बनाए रखा और पहचाना जाता है। शिक्षा के माध्यम से एक बच्चा समाज के बुनियादी नियमों, नियमों, मानदंडों और मूल्यों को सीखता है"।
